3D Printing with Metals: A Practical Introduction

This 1-day introductory workshop provides a comprehensive overview of metal-based additive manufacturing (AM) with a focus on technologies, benefits, limitations, and integration into existing supply chains. The course highlights the economic and operational advantages for industries in Mississippi and the surrounding region, with real-world examples of AM adoption across sectors like aerospace, automotive, defense, and energy. We will provide an overview of multiple metal-based AM technologies, including L-PBF, wire arc DED, and cold spray AM.
