Gathering momentum from one of Mississippi's fastest growing industries, approximately 650 participants convened at the 2024 Innovation Conference held April 3rd and 4th at the Nissan North America Plant in Canton, MS. Celebrating its 11th year, this year's conference featured sixty-two booths arranged by 49 exhibitors from the U.S., showcasing cutting-edge advancements aimed at enhancing quality productivity within the manufacturing industry. Demonstrations were provided by FANUC, Nikon Metrology, and Siemens Industry, exemplifying innovative applications of technology. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in sessions covering topics such as: Industry 4.0 and What Does It Mean for Nissan; Digital Transformation or Industry 4.0?; Achieving OEE via Remote Monitoring; Aligning Training Programs with Industry 4.0 Needs; Automation at the Edge; and Ergonomic and Material Management Considerations for Material Handling.

New to this year's event was the opportunity for a ride in Nissan's new electrical vehicle, Ariya, a Sponsorship VIP Session with one of the Nissan Directors of choice, and a food truck for the public. Tours of the Nissan plant also resumed after several years of suspension due to COVID-19. Mississippi State University's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems - Extension (CAVS-E) and the Nissan North America - Canton Plant coordinates this annual event. Exhibitor sponsors included RAISE3D, Siemens, PTC, Crawford, Nikon, and Vahle. Conference sponsors included Nissan, Mississippi Automotive Manufacturer's Association (MAMA), Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Manufacturers Association-Mississippi Extension Partnership (MMA-MEP) and CAVS-Extension.
