Problem Solving & 8D (Nissan Supplier Training Program)


Objective:

Do you need to understand the specific Nissan requirements and methodology for addressing problems as they occur and how they link to NPQP requirements?

This training addresses:
  • Review of 8 steps in Nissan's methodology and expectations for Problem Solving
  • Use of Problem-solving core tools with hands-on exercises
    • Fishbone
    • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
    • Five Why (5 Why)
    • Others
  • Validation and verification of countermeasures
  • Follow-up actions, lessons learned and actions to prevent occurrence
  • PQE review of 8D on submittal
  • Assessment of completed 8D
  • 8D connections to PFMEA & Control Plan
  • Opportunities for improvement of existing documentation and process
Prerequisites:
  • Understanding of AIAG requirements
  • Understanding of NPQP requirements
  • Basic understanding of Problem Solving and Problem-solving Tools
Requirements:
  • Business email account
  • Hard copy of a Nissan completed 8D or electronic access to the information
  • Supplier site code or corporate code if corporate employee
