PFMEA-Control Plan (Nissan Supplier Training Program)


Objective:

Do you need to understand the specific Nissan requirements of Process Flow, PFMEA & Control Plan and how they link to Nissan's NPQP requirements?

This training addresses:
  • Process flow
    • Addressing all process steps
    • Common activity symbols
  • PFMEA
    • Identifying all failure modes and causes
    • Applying Severity, Occurrence and Detection to understand and correctly determine risks
    • Special Characteristics and Key Features Diagram applications
    • Use of Poka-yokes for high severity features
    • RPN calculations and when to take actions
  • Control Plan
    • Connecting your Process Flow Chart and PFMEA to the Control Plan
    • Applying Special Characteristics and Key Features to the Control Plan
    • Identifying Product and Process Characteristics and their controls
    • Controls utilized to maintain product and process parameters including maintenance and calibration
  • Review of existing Process Flow Chart, PFMEA & Control Plan for Nissan requirements
  • Opportunities for improvement of existing documentation and process
Prerequisites:
  • Understanding of AIAG requirements
  • Understanding of NPQP requirements
  • Basic understanding of Process Flow / PFMEA & Control Plan is helpful but not a requirement
Requirements:
  • Business email account
  • Hard copy of Process Flow Chart, PFMEA & Control Plan and internal inspection report or access to electronic copies (laptop with Excel suggested)
  • Supplier site code or corporate code if corporate employee
