Firewall Containment (Nissan Supplier Training Program)


Objective:

Do you need to understand what Nissan means when they say Firewall?

Firewall is not just a reactive containment process to capture issues when problems arise, but a proactive approach to improve your internal processes.

In this session you will learn how to benchmark your containment activities against a World Class process for containment. This includes steps to develop, implement and manage this process and meet NPQP requirements.

This training addresses:
  • Defining the step-by-step approach and pitfalls to avoid when developing and implementing a Firewall
  • Utilizing data and information gathered from the Firewall process to identify countermeasures and identify improvement activities
  • Determine the effectiveness of your current containment activities and identify opportunities for improvement
Prerequisites:
  • Understanding of AIAG requirements
  • Understanding of NPQP requirements
  • Basic understanding of current containment activities
Requirements:
  • Business email account
  • Inspection instruction from current /recent safe launch or containment activities
  • Supplier site code or corporate code if corporate employee
